Ted from Maughan construction based in Stoke on Trent installed my new driveway using Tobermore Shannon slate with a double charcoal border.Ted visited my property to give a detailed explanation of what and how best to proceed with the installation.I was given a quote and booked him in for the following week. Ted and his team worked hard and were diligent and methodical in their work, Ted stayed behind after for the two day installation to ensure the work met his high standards.The second day the sand and blocks were installed and the rest of the team did an amazing job installing the block kerb edgings and made an impressive curved bed which was later dressed with top soil.The drain cover-details were perfect and all the finishing touches and minute detail made the finished job look amazingThe team worked in a very clean and tidy manner and any mess was cleared and washed down including pavements and roads.The team respected my wishes and anything I asked to be altered was dealt with instantly.I would 100% recommend the company and their work.

Very very very pleased with our new driveway. Couldn’t rate Ted and his team highly enough, thanks guys!Day 1 – Ted turned up with 4 very pleasant guys at 7.30am as promised and by 6pm, dug out and spoil removed, hardcore down and compacted.Day 2 – Again turned up at 7.30am and by 11.30am, sand down and compacted level and Tegula paving all laid. Weather wasn’t on his side, so had to come back at 4.30pm to sand it all in once it had dried out.I would highly recommend Maughan Construction to anybody who wants quality work done fast!

Absolutely incredible standard of work from Ted and the team, that has transformed our home. From the initial consultation, we were treated respectfully and professionally and given a realistic timescale and cost for the work.The team worked diligently during the whole project, and even when there were complications due to existing issues with the previous driveway, Ted was completely transparent with the solutions, which were included into the project at an incredibly reasonable rate. The whole project was completed in a very time efficient manner, and we were consulted throughout and given regular progress updates.There is no other firm that I would consider using for a project of this magnitude in future, and I am more than happy with the service that I have received and the standard of the work delivered.I would happily recommend Maughan Construction to anyone. The standard of work and customer service are simply first class.

Ted came around and gave us a quote. We agreed on a price, a date, and a time. He and his time came promptly as agreed. They did a fantastic job over two days. Ted and his team have done an amazing job renovating and creating a new drive for us. Would highly recommend them for any want a new drive especially if you want something creative and different to the norm. They were quick , clean and delivered on what they promised

5 stars does not justify how delighted we are with the new drive which has been installed in only 2 days by Ted and his team. All of the gentlemen who worked on our property (and boy, did they work hard!) had the upmost respect and courtesy for both us and the work they were doing.The drive has been thoroughly protected against the possibility of weeds making their way through, with layers of material, which have been well prepared before the final sets were installed....these are the icing on the cake!Nothing was too much trouble for Ted and his team; he explained the process at each stage and ensured we were happy and answered any questions we had.Once the driveway had been completed, Ted ensured we were happy before he would confirm that everything had been completed. Ted and his team were not only hard working but very tidy as well. No mess was left after day 1 or after completion and they were punctual both days.I have to say that we saw Ted's work within our neighbourhood and asked for a recommendation. I can now totally endorse this recommendation! I would have Maughan Construction back to my property to complete the patio in the back garden without a second consideration.I cannot recommend this company enough, they are absolutely wonderful!
