Quality Patio Installation Stoke-on-Trent
When the weather is nice there s nothing better than sitting out on your patio with a glass of wine or beer and relaxing – so when was the last time you did this?
If your front or back garden is looking at little worse for wear, or you are not making enough of the space you have then having a brand new patio installed by Maughan Construction is one quick, easy and low cost way of transforming your outdoor space and making it a big feature of your property.
There are many different ways we can transform your garden space and give you that brand new patio you always wanted.
Having installed hundreds of patios over many years we know what works and what doesn’t work so we can give you the very best guidance and expert knowledge to ensure you get the patio you always wanted.
We can install simple block paving slabs to make a nice and robust patio area, we can also run these around the edge of your garden perimeter to make an attractive and useful path – which kids will love to ride their bikes or scooters around.
Types Of Patios
Patios are a great way to make your outdoor space much more enjoyable and useful and can be very cost effective to install.
Any number of colours and patterns are available and lots of different types of material can be used such as:
Flagstones are the most common material used for patio installations due to the fact they are quick and easy to lay in a grid pattern such as in the picture above.
Square flagstones allow for a uniform pattern and design and are very hard wearing. We can, of course, cut the flagstones to fit around your garden space so they don’t always have to be square – challenge us to see what we can do.
Clay bricks are a very common type of material used for patio installations and they are sometimes called Teg pavers or Teg bricks.
These bricks are used to build up patterns and are very versatile and come in a range of colours and sizes.
These bricks will retain their rich warm colour and they can be installed in a large or small space due to their flexibility.
Indian Stone Paving
Indian stone paving is a type of flagstone but has a marbled coloured effect and are often irregular in shape and so we can create a crazy paving style for you, which works well in large space and around borders.
Indian stone paving is very hard wearing and will change colour slightly over time to give a very nice effect. It can be cleaned easily with a jet wash and doesn’t break or chip easily so once installed it will last a very long time.
Gravel is a very common material used in patio installations as it is quick, easy and cheap to do and can cover a large area very easily.
Gravel comes in hundreds of different colours and shapes and so you can have a very unique looking patio at the end.
Gravel is high maintenance however as it is moves and shifts when you walk on it and so it can be a pain to keep looking neat. However, if you feel your patio will get only light usage and you want a hassle free lifestyle then gravel patio installation may be the best option for you.
A concrete patio is the cheapest option and is very easy to install – the only downside is that is it not very exciting to look at.
It will, of course, be very hard wearing and last almost a lifetime so if you are wanting to have a very simple patio area that you not no have to do anything to then a concrete patio could be the way to go.
We can imprint a design into the concrete so it is not just a flat slab and this gives it some interest and point of difference and you can have almost any design you like.
Concrete is very easy to maintain and can be cleaned easily too, plus it is flat and allows for a large area to be covered at a low cost, so it can be a good choice for property developers or busy workers who want a maintenance free garden.
