How Much Do Resin Bound Driveways Cost?
It is hard to say exactly how much a resin bound driveway would cost as it depends on how big the area we need to cover is, along with the type of resin you would like on your driveway and any other factors such as access, drainage works and other potential issues we could find.
However you are looking at roughly between ?1500 – ?5000 for a standard sized driveway to but it can go right up to ?50,000+ if you are looking to have a very large area covered in resin.
Resin Bound vs Resin Bonded
Resin bound and resin bonded are very similar in name but very different products all together. Here at the Driveway Guys we only use the resin bound driveway installation method.
Resin bound is a mixture of aggregate, marble or recycled materials mixed together with a clear resin which gives a nice shine and allows you to see the mixture when it is laid.
A resin bound driveway gives a permeable, durable multi layer surface because the finish is very smooth there is no loose stones or chipping.
Resin bonded is a system which involves applying a film of resin to the surface on top of which clean and dry aggregate is scattered, which covers the resin. This system means it is non-permeable and there is the potential for stone to become loose and scatter and make a mess of your driveway.
So if you are looking for this type of driveway then always ask the company which style they use – resin bound or resin bonded!
What Colours Does A Resin Bound Driveway Come In?
There are hundreds of different colour options you can have with your resin bound driveway and we can create almost anything you like. Below is a sample guide of some of the resin bound driveway colour options we have on offer, but if there is something else you like then we can probably get this for you too.
How Long Does Resin Take To Lay?
Resin bound driveways can be quick to install, sometimes being completed in the same day if the area is quite small. Generally, we would say it would take 3-5 days to install depending on what sort of driveway is currently in place and how much work it is to strip it back.
Resin bound driveways are laid in the same way as other driveways such as resin or tarmac and are then treated with a special coating to keep them looking fresh and clean.
