This job came in from a customer in Newcastle-under-Lyme with a tired rear garden that had outgrown its old patio.
The existing area was a mix of ageing cream and terracotta paving slabs, overgrown hedging along one boundary, and fencing that had seen better days. The brief was straightforward: clear the lot, put in a proper drainage-ready base, lay 60 square metres of tegula paving, and replace the boundary fencing with new feather-edge panels and trellis toppers.
Ted and the team started with a full strip-out. The old slabs came up, the hedge line got cut back hard, and a mini digger handled the bulk excavation before the site was set out for the new patio footprint.
